The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geale Buring during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Zandkant booed when FC DYONISIANS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geale Buring didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marinus de Zaaijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Stef Spijker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Bennie Bosma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stef Spijker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zandkant's Stef Spijker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennie Bosma in the 80th minute of play. Stef Spijker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bennie Bosma's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Stef Spijker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marinus de Zaaijer went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Marinus de Zaaijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stef Spijker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marinus de Zaaijer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Zandkant's zone, Bennie Bosma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stef Spijker came out of the goal and Bennie Bosma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC DYONISIANS had won after a very even match.
