Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marinus de Zaaijer started the match with the kick off. Peter Mik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerrit Duinhoven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Gerrit Duinhoven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henk Castelen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Arjan Klok was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC DYONISIANS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zandkant the free kick. In the 24th match minute, FC DYONISIANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arjan Klok to maneuver through the defense. Marinus de Zaaijer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stef Spijker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florian Gerseke to strike the kick off in the second half. FC DYONISIANS's attack was well implemented in the 56th minute, but when Marinus de Zaaijer was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Marinus de Zaaijer managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC DYONISIANS's supporters rose to their feet, but Marinus de Zaaijer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stef Spijker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute, Gerrit Duinhoven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Zandkant booed when FC DYONISIANS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geale Buring didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Henk Castelen made a precise shot to the right of Peter Mik. FC DYONISIANS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Marinus de Zaaijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Stef Spijker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC DYONISIANS's Bennie Bosma got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bennie Bosma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Zandkant's zone, Marinus de Zaaijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stef Spijker came out of the goal and Marinus de Zaaijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zandkant's Stef Spijker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinus de Zaaijer in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Florian Gerseke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Peter Mik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stef Spijker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marinus de Zaaijer's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The Zandkant players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
