Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rinus Davids kicked off to start the match. Rob Collen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rinus Davids in the 9th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Hoeves's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Olof Cohen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Hoeves. Jeroen den Engelsman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Theo Verbeek. 0-1. After 25 minutes of play, Hoeves's Folkert Janus made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Theo Verbeek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rob Collen made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Olof Cohen sent off a good shot on target. Rinus Davids blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rob Collen having to make a save. Arjan Verheije received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Rob Collen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marnix Castelen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rob Collen came out and tried to block the shot, but Marnix Castelen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 39th minute. Rinus Davids received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Rob Collen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rob Collen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olof Cohen in the 45th minute. A collision led to Hoeves getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Folkert Janus hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rinus Davids got free with Rob Collen in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Folkert Janus to make the kick off. Rob Collen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rinus Davids, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Rinus Davids managed to get in a good position for a shot. Domburg HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rinus Davids was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rob Collen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hoeves's Rob Collen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rinus Davids in the 64th minute of play. Rob Collen came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Domburg HC's Olof Cohen. But to his dismay, Olof Cohen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 77th minute Arjan Verheije shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Collen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Olof Cohen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rob Collen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Cohen, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Rob Collen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marnix Castelen went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 84th minute Olof Cohen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Collen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rob Collen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olof Cohen in the 88th minute of the match. Rob Collen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arjan Verheije, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Leendert Bijlsma sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rob Collen skillfully saved the ball. Rinus Davids struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Rob Collen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Domburg HC.
