Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Karel Rieks took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hette Kristoffers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Foeke Popping in the 4th minute of the match. Hette Kristoffers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jelte Bömker in the 9th minute of play. Foeke Popping recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hette Kristoffers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Foeke Popping, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 19th play minute Ed van Zwieten came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marnix Tonnis. 1-0. Foeke Popping recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marnix Tonnis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karel Rieks in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Jelte Bömker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute, Rien Lever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Jelte Bömker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hette Kristoffers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After having played for 42 minutes, Karel Rieks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herkeloo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karel Rieks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Doornakkers's Marnix Tonnis got control of the ball when Ed van Zwieten tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match, Karel Rieks tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marnix Tonnis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Foeke Popping made the kick off in the second half. Foeke Popping struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Hette Kristoffers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Doornakkers. In the 52nd match minute, Herkeloo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukas Rijkaard to maneuver through the defense. Jelte Bömker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jelte Bömker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hette Kristoffers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Marnix Tonnis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ed van Zwieten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karel Rieks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karel Rieks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Marnix Tonnis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Doornakkers booed when Herkeloo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil van Fessum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jelte Bömker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute, Gerjan Sándor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ed van Zwieten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Herkeloo getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Folkert Geerdink hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Foeke Popping in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hette Kristoffers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jelte Bömker got free with Hette Kristoffers in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute, Ed van Zwieten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marnix Tonnis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Herkeloo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
