Marc Tonnis was slow to take the kick. During this time Argontis's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Argontis's Marc Tonnis to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan Atsma despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jan Atsma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danny Zevenberg's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Jaap Dongen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Atsma. Deutsche Mannschaft's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaap Dongen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Deutsche Mannschaft's Jan Atsma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Zevenberg in the 21st minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Danny Zevenberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jan Atsma was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jan Atsma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaap Dongen, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Danny Zevenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argontis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Zevenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Danny Zevenberg sped through Deutsche Mannschaft's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan Atsma. Jaap Dongen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Atsma having to interfere. When Danny Zevenberg came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Argontis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danny Zevenberg couldn't finish the play. Danny Zevenberg scored 0-5 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Atsma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godfried Opdam made a kick off. Jaap Dongen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th match minute, Argontis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arno Hofman to maneuver through the defense. Argontis's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
