Richard de Haan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Cobus Driel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeroen Verbeek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Amstel Kat STOPPED fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when FC Amstel Kat STOPPED's Albert Veenhuis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in FC Amstel Kat STOPPED's zone, Jordi Brunt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martien de Groot came out of the goal and Jordi Brunt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egbert Bosstraeten hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. If Jordi Brunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martien de Groot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Zorge, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The audience was convinced that Albert Veenhuis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cobus Driel was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Albert Veenhuis made the kick off in the second half. Mickael Peters charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
