Demy Veltrop succeeded in the game's 24th minute to get real power on a long shot . Tweesluizen HC's Gio Evers hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-0! Arnold Degens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Gio Evers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carel Hovenkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gio Evers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnold Degens in the 33rd minute. Tweesluizen HC's Gio Evers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carel Hovenkamp in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Meindert Schaeffer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gio Evers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carel Hovenkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan Hendrik Willemse to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Tweesluizen HC's zone, Carel Hovenkamp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gio Evers came out of the goal and Carel Hovenkamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnold Degens might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gio Evers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnold Degens ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Tweesluizen HC booed when FC Ganita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Hertog didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Jan Hendrik Willemse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gio Evers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carel Hovenkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gio Evers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Ganita's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
