Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nigel Achterberg started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Rhenooi V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Joost Rijkaard. The crowd rose to their feet as Rhenooi V.V.'s Nigel Achterberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sjef de Jong. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Stijn Latten hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Ryan Sloedingen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute of the match, Roland Schepers got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sjef de Jong was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. GO AHEAD SATINK's Sjef de Jong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Achterberg in the 18th minute of play. Antoon Tevreden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tim de Vlieger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sjef de Jong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Achterberg in the 22nd minute of play. If Ryan Sloedingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sjef de Jong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roland Schepers in the 29th minute. Antoon Tevreden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tim de Vlieger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tim de Vlieger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antoon Tevreden's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Nigel Achterberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sjef de Jong. That made the score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. Tim de Vlieger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoon Tevreden in the 45th minute of play. With a little luck, GO AHEAD SATINK's Sjef de Jong got control of the ball when Gerard Zethof tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antoon Tevreden to make the kick off. If Ryan Sloedingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryan Sloedingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim de Vlieger having to interfere. After 56 minutes of play, Rhenooi V.V.'s Nigel Achterberg made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sjef de Jong was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sjef de Jong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Achterberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Antoon Tevreden dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tim de Vlieger, 4-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Stijn Latten managed to get in a good position for a shot. GO AHEAD SATINK's supporters rose to their feet, but Stijn Latten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim de Vlieger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bart Daalmeyer during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The goalkeeper, Tim de Vlieger, was totally fooled by GO AHEAD SATINK's Jan Remmelts, who 76 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Rhenooi V.V.'s Joost Rijkaard got a free kick in the 81st minute. 85 minutes into the game, Gerard Zethof cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Sjef de Jong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antoon Tevreden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim de Vlieger having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Roland Schepers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sjef de Jong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Joost Rijkaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ryan Sloedingen managed to get in a good position for a shot.
