The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frieswijk's Dirk van Fessum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Dijkman in the 5th minute of play. Eric Velez's late challenge caught a vv akkrum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Velez helped the player get up and apologised. Eric Velez hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Dirk van Fessum didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when vv akkrum's Fabian Dijkman shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Frieswijk booed when vv akkrum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferry Kleefstra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Frieswijk's Lennart Tanis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reinhard Meulenbergh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Fabian Dijkman hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Reinhard Meulenbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Tanis in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Eric Velez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reinhard Meulenbergh was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Fabian Dijkman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dirk van Fessum didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 39th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabian Dijkman made a kick off. Fabian Dijkman kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rdth minute of the game Fabian Dijkman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frieswijk's Dirk van Fessum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 56 minutes into the match, vv akkrum's goalkeeper Reinhard Meulenbergh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Velez. Jurgen Haken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Fabian Dijkman managed to get in a good position for a shot. vv akkrum's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Dijkman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dirk van Fessum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabian Dijkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven Maseland hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Joeri Wagenaar kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Martien Wilhelm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Lennart Tanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinhard Meulenbergh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 minutes of play, Frieswijk's Eric Velez made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reinhard Meulenbergh was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frieswijk played a much better game than vv akkrum and deserved their victory. The vv akkrum players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
