After some careless play in the Smalbroek defense, Koen de Graaf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaap Jochemsen. The Smalbroek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaap Jochemsen should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute Harm Lubbers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaap Jochemsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaap Jochemsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harm Lubbers's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Focsani Thunder FC booed when Smalbroek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Harm Lubbers made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Smalbroek's goalkeeper Jaap Jochemsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco van Rhijn. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rinus Israel in the 72nd minute of play forced Smalbroek's goalkeeper Jaap Jochemsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Fred Panter kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jaap Jochemsen. That made the score 0-7 in the 75 minute of play. With a little luck, Smalbroek's Jaap Jochemsen got control of the ball when Harm Lubbers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jaap Jochemsen was a little too slow when Koen de Graaf got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 0-8. 85 minutes into the match, Harm Lubbers notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Smalbroek's Jaap Jochemsen. Jaap Jochemsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Folker Cales kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes in the game Koen de Graaf after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Jaap Jochemsen. A very good opportunity. Smalbroek's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Jim Thomasse scored to the left of an out of position Jaap Jochemsen, making the score, 0-10. Jaap Jochemsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rinus Israel went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-11 was the resulting score. Focsani Thunder FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
