The audience was convinced that Carlo Rogaars's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emil Walstra was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Carlo Rogaars's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emil Walstra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. If Bennie Kloppenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. De Bokkenrijders's Emil Walstra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Rogaars in the 32nd minute of play. Riemer Duin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Timo Everts made a huge save. Carlo Rogaars fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Walstra having to interfere. Timo Everts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinier Peters in the 44th minute of play.

Timo Everts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinier Peters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Ron Jorna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlo Rogaars sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 56 minutes, Martin Bakhuis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Bokkenrijders and the Old South Eagles players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Old South Eagles booed when De Bokkenrijders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Bakhuis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bennie Kloppenburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88thth minute of the game Reinier Peters who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Old South Eagles's Timo Everts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Reinier Peters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlo Rogaars in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emil Walstra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riemer Duin in the 95th minute of play forced Old South Eagles's goalkeeper Timo Everts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
