Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 0) Cobus Post made the kick off and thus started the match. When Cobus Post came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Goorle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cobus Post couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruimel's goalkeeper Cobus Neijsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Gerard van Baarle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Goorle's Mark Raatjes tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Bert Lanting came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Goorle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bert Lanting couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Cobus Post had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cobus Neijsen. Ruimel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cobus Post was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Goorle's Bert Lanting got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When Goorle's Cobus Post in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ruimel's goalie prevented a goal. Cobus Post sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes Ruimel got a freekick which was hit by Ernst Oss. Cobus Neijsen came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Goorle's Cobus Post. But to his dismay, Cobus Post quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 32 minutes into the match, Jan Luijten notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Ruimel's Cobus Neijsen. Cobus Neijsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cobus Post might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cobus Neijsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cobus Post ran back to his position shaking his head. Ruimel's Cobus Neijsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Luijten in the 41st minute of play. If Cobus Post had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Luijten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cobus Neijsen having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Marnix van Boxel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ruimel and the Goorle players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ruimel's Marnix van Boxel got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
After 51 played minutes Goorle got a freekick which was hit by Bert Lanting. Cobus Neijsen made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Jan Luijten sent off a good shot on target. Jan Luijten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Cobus Neijsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cobus Post in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cobus Neijsen saved Ruimel from getting behind. Cobus Post received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cobus Neijsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evert van der Struijk took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cobus Neijsen. Cobus Neijsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After 72 played minutes Ruimel got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Sanders. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Stijn Blanker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruimel's supporters rose to their feet, but Stijn Blanker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiaan Kolkman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes in the game, Cobus Post dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Cobus Neijsen made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Jan Luijten sent off a good shot on target. Cobus Post received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Cobus Neijsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cobus Neijsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cobus Post in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ruimel's zone, Cobus Post stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cobus Neijsen came out of the goal and Cobus Post tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cobus Post sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cobus Post in the 97th minute of play forced Ruimel's goalkeeper Cobus Neijsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
