Spectators: 6874 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 0) Alfred Saarberg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alfred Saarberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anholt HC's Kees Kik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Saarberg in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Alfred Saarberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kees Kik was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Kees Kik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudi Kielstra in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Han Venema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 minutes, Jorn Hadders mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wadwaai FC and the Anholt HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorn Hadders hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Anholt HC's zone, Alfred Saarberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kees Kik came out of the goal and Alfred Saarberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th match minute, Anholt HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martien Schepers to maneuver through the defense. Alfred Saarberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Kees Kik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Anholt HC's goal looked a bit too open when Rudi Kielstra came free, but Kees Kik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfred Saarberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kees Kik having to interfere. Anholt HC's Kees Kik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Saarberg in the 40th minute of play. Sander Douwes's late challenge caught a Wadwaai FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sander Douwes helped the player get up and apologised. Sander Douwes kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Alfred Saarberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kees Kik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 minutes of play Wadwaai FC's Jorn Hadders was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 46th minute, Jorn Hadders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geale Ritsma to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Martien Schepers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anholt HC and the Wadwaai FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Han Venema recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roelof Evenhuis in the 63rd minute of play forced Wadwaai FC's goalkeeper Rick Rinzema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rudi Kielstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudi Kielstra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wadwaai FC's Alfred Saarberg got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Geale Ritsma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anholt HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geale Ritsma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rick Rinzema breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Foeke Rodenberg fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wadwaai FC's protests and gave Foeke Rodenberg a yellow card for diving instead. Rudi Kielstra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kees Kik firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Alfred Saarberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th match minute, Wadwaai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Saarberg to maneuver through the defense. Alfred Saarberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rudi Kielstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Anholt HC's Kees Kik got control of the ball when Rudi Kielstra tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Wadwaai FC's Alfred Saarberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kees Kik. That made the score 0-3 after 94 minutes of play. Wadwaai FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
