Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elco Roswinkel got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Twan Wilson in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivo Alkema prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Twan Wilson struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Ivo Alkema didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peppies FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boukjan Bronkhorst in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Temen saved Peppies FC from getting behind. 20 minutes into the game, one of Delft:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Peppies FC. Wim Bijl stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ivo Alkema. 0-1. Leon Teunissen's late challenge caught a Delft's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Teunissen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Delft booed when Peppies FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Teunissen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, Peppies FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Teunissen to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Boukjan Bronkhorst stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Henry Saveneij left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Delft fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peppies FC's goalkeeper Andreas Temen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeroen van Zwieten hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Henry Saveneij fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Temen having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
