Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 2 played minutes Delft got a freekick which was hit by Jan Brinks. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paul Wiggers in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivo Alkema saved Delft from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Delft's Jeroen van Zwieten got a free kick in the 5th minute. The supporters of SepFC booed when Delft was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Rein Neeskens didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 11 minutes on the clock, Geale van Zeist commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Delft! Ivo Alkema went to the wrong direction when Niels-Jan Weinands was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Erik Zuurman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SepFC booed when Delft was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Wander didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, SepFC's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Saveneij came free, but Bastiaan Schokkenbroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik Zuurman got free with Ivo Alkema in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Delft's Henry Saveneij sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bastiaan Schokkenbroek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Jan Rein Neeskens had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 36 minutes into the game, Karsten Prinsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SepFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delft the free kick. Paul Wiggers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ivo Alkema tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robert Koeling to strike the kick off in the second half. Erik Zuurman took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivo Alkema. Ivo Alkema dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Paul Wiggers struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Ivo Alkema didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SepFC. Steve Wander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Delft's Steve Wander got a free kick in the 70th minute. SepFC's Erik Zuurman got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the game, Steve Wander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Delft's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SepFC the free kick. After 75 played minutes Delft got a freekick which was hit by Steve Wander. After having played for 83 minutes, Paul Wiggers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SepFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Wiggers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Koeling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bastiaan Schokkenbroek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stef Ritsma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Alkema didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul Wiggers went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. SepFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
