Limburg FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belchior Mamalis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martijn Makaay scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gido Heikens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Martijn Makaay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Gido Heikens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 16 minutes, Martijn Makaay made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Amsterdam Baarsjes's Gido Heikens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Martijn Makaay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gido Heikens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martijn Makaay's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Martijn Makaay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gido Heikens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Limburg FC's goalkeeper 朱德洋 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ron Holst. In the 31stth minute of the game Martijn Makaay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amsterdam Baarsjes's Gido Heikens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patrik Myr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gido Heikens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Amsterdam Baarsjes's Barry Venema got a free kick in the 34th minute. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Martijn Makaay sped through Amsterdam Baarsjes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gido Heikens. 39 minutes into the game, Jef Ter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limburg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amsterdam Baarsjes the free kick. In the 39th minute, Jef Ter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amsterdam Baarsjes's Gido Heikens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martijn Makaay in the 45th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Martijn Makaay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gido Heikens was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Arno Poels kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Belchior Mamalis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Gido Heikens made a huge save. Amsterdam Baarsjes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Martijn Makaay scored to the left of an out of position Gido Heikens, making the score, 0-6. The audience was convinced that Martijn Makaay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gido Heikens was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. A hard shot 58 in the game by Belchior Mamalis from a close distance when the talented Gido Heikens managed to make a qualified save. Amsterdam Baarsjes's players were relieved. Gido Heikens had great luck who in the 59thth minute grab hold of the ball when Martijn Makaay from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The supporters of Limburg FC booed when Amsterdam Baarsjes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry Venema didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martijn Makaay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Limburg FC's Belchior Mamalis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gido Heikens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. In the 68th minute, Martijn Makaay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gido Heikens was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. Berker Özdoa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Martijn Makaay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gido Heikens was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Barry Venema got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gido Heikens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martijn Makaay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 80 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martijn Makaay in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gido Heikens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Belchior Mamalis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the game, Martijn Makaay recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gido Heikens. Martijn Makaay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-12. Martijn Makaays short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Gido Heikens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 91 minutes of play, Limburg FC's Martijn Makaay made it 0-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gido Heikens was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the last second Gido Heikens throw himself and got hold of the ball when Martijn Makaay in the 95thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 96th match minute, Amsterdam Baarsjes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jef Bust to maneuver through the defense. Limburg FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
