Paul Wiggers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Bastiaan Schokkenbroek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Arends, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Paul Wiggers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boudewijn Enzing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Zuurman struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Boudewijn Enzing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SepFC. The supporters of SepFC booed when Oosterwierum Excelsior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huub Mol didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes in the game, Paul Wiggers fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Boudewijn Enzing having to interfere. Erik Zuurman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boudewijn Enzing having to interfere. Erik Zuurmans short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Boudewijn Enzing to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gert Bennink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gert Bennink in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bastiaan Schokkenbroek saved SepFC from getting behind. Erik Zuurman in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Boudewijn Enzing, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

Gert Bennink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Bastiaan Schokkenbroek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bart Arends got free with Bastiaan Schokkenbroek in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 60 played minutes Oosterwierum Excelsior got a freekick which was hit by Corné Davids. After 62 played minutes, SepFC's Taco van Driest shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Boudewijn Enzing came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SepFC reached it. Bart Arends sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Erik Zuurman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Erik Zuurman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bart Arends had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 75 minutes into the match, SepFC's Erik Zuurman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boudewijn Enzing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Oosterwierum Excelsior's Corné Davids got a free kick in the 83rd minute. If Gert Bennink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andy Rooy's late challenge caught a Oosterwierum Excelsior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andy Rooy helped the player get up and apologised. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SepFC!
