A collision led to PolishPower getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Kelvin Jonker hit a great ball. When Ron Holst came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Amsterdam Baarsjes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ron Holst couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis Langenbach during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dennis Langenbach kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21stth minute of the game Henk Akkerman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PolishPower's Henk Smibum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harm Holthuis struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gido Heikens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PolishPower. Harm Holthuis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Amsterdam Baarsjes's zone, Harm Holthuis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gido Heikens came out of the goal and Harm Holthuis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, PolishPower's goalkeeper Henk Smibum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ron Holst. Gido Heikens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Zeijlemaker's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Zeijlemaker in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gido Heikens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. PolishPower were furious when Humberto Rademaker was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of PolishPower:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Amsterdam Baarsjes:s goal. When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, Amsterdam Baarsjes's Job Geerts got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Henk Smibum. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henk Akkerman to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Bruno Zeijlemaker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PolishPower's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Zeijlemaker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Zeijlemaker in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gido Heikens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Joeri Keupink kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gido Heikens. That made the score 1-2 in the 58 minute of play. PolishPower's Henk Smibum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ron Holst in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Amsterdam Baarsjes booed when PolishPower was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Zeijlemaker didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Gido Heikens managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when PolishPower's Bruno Zeijlemaker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bruno Zeijlemaker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gido Heikens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Max van der Wiel made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by PolishPower's Harm Holthuis. Kelvin Jonker charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kelvin Jonker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
