FC Derks's Robin Van Peel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Reintjes in the 33rd minute of play. Donald Reintjes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robin Van Peel having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donald Reintjes in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robin Van Peel saved FC Derks from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donald Reintjes to make the kick off. Harculo's Donald Reintjes got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robin Van Peel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stijn Roswinkel in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Donald Reintjes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Van Peel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Harculo booed when FC Derks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esmin De Beuf didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 minutes, Klaas Sybering mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Derks and the Harculo players grew even worse after the yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Harculo reached it. Donald Reintjes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Van Peel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brain Teuben in the 73rd minute of the match. If Brain Teuben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brain Teuben took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robin Van Peel. Robin Van Peel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Donald Reintjes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Derks's goalkeeper Robin Van Peel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Brain Teuben sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
