Ricky Ruiter struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Robin Van Peel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GYM. If Ricky Ruiter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaas Sybering got free with Ruud Colen in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovanni Schaars fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Van Peel having to interfere. Robin Van Peel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Bulder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GYM's Dirk-Jan Temen got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dirk-Jan Temen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Giovanni Schaars shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Van Peel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph Robbermond in the 44th minute of play forced FC Derks's goalkeeper Robin Van Peel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giovanni Schaars made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Dirk-Jan Temen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Van Peel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nico-Jan Mülder hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. GYM's Ricky Ruiter got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Robbermond in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robin Van Peel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Ralph Robbermond got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ricky Ruiter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes FC Derks got a freekick which was hit by Willem Roelofs. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Derks's goalkeeper Robin Van Peel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Giovanni Schaars could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Robin Van Peel made a huge save. GYM's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dirk-Jan Temen in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Klaas Sybering was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Derks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GYM the free kick. After 77 played minutes FC Derks got a freekick which was hit by Klaas Sybering. Vincent Mosselveld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Van Peel having to interfere. Ralph Robbermond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Van Peel having to interfere. Klaas Sybering hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Robin Van Peel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk-Jan Temen in the 93rd minute of the match. GYM's Ricky Ruiter got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricky Bulder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Robin Van Peel made a huge save. When the match was over GYM could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Derks throughout the match.
