With his leg Hendrik-Jan Blikman managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when v.v. Surhuisterveen's Giel Jorna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Sjors Jeronimus put in a rough tackle. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rheebruggen S.V.! Theo Soer shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Kauffeld was the one to do the kick off. Hendrik-Jan Blikman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giel Jorna went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. If Ernst Anneese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Kauffeld's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hendrik-Jan Blikman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. If Jacob Huizinga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hendrik-Jan Blikman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Kauffeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giel Jorna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik-Jan Blikman having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Rheebruggen S.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mitchell Hilkes came free, but Hendrik-Jan Blikman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. v.v. Surhuisterveen's Marcel Kauffeld got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Rheebruggen S.V.'s Tommie Vaalman got a free kick in the 88th minute. If Giel Jorna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Kauffeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
