After 24 played minutes vv Hefswal got a freekick which was hit by Marco Kosterman. vv Hefswal's Matthijs Jorna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbes Palencia in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of vv Hefswal booed when Valkenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbes Palencia didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Klaas Smit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Matthijs Jorna successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 34th minute, Urbes Palencia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Urbes Palencia to strike the kick off in the second half. Eddy Steyns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaas Smit in the 54th minute of the match. Urbes Palencia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Matthijs Jorna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marcelino Ancieta fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valkenberg's goalkeeper Eddy Steyns, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eddy Steyns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Roodenburg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, vv Hefswal's Stefano van Putten got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Urbes Palencia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Klaas Smit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. vv Hefswal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klaas Smit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Urbes Palencia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes of play, Valkenberg's Urbes Palencia made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matthijs Jorna was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th match minute, vv Hefswal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Roodenburg to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Valkenberg had won after a very even match.
