Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christijan Hagenouw to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Edgar Degens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Christijan Hagenouw scored 2-4 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacco Heesen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute Mark de Zwaan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Steyns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
