Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcel Kauffeld took the kick off in the first half of the match. When v.v. Surhuisterveen's Marcel Kauffeld in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye vv Hefswal's goalie prevented a goal. Teo Ensing made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Daniel Douwes sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the game, Daniel Douwes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Teo Ensing was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcel Kauffeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthijs Jorna having to interfere. Theo Soer kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Marcel Kauffeld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, v.v. Surhuisterveen's Giel Jorna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matthijs Jorna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for vv Hefswal! Theo Soer shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 47 minutes into the match, v.v. Surhuisterveen's goal looked a bit too open when Klaas Smit came free, but Teo Ensing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Daniel Douwes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Klaas Smit's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teo Ensing was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Florian Roodenburg's late challenge caught a v.v. Surhuisterveen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florian Roodenburg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Florian Roodenburg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teo Ensing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaas Smit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute of the match vv Hefswal got a corner. v.v. Surhuisterveen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ger Fens ran over to the corner to take the kick. Giel Jorna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in v.v. Surhuisterveen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! In the 79th minute there was a penalty for vv Hefswal. Ger Fens stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Teo Ensing. 3-0. v.v. Surhuisterveen's Teo Ensing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Roodenburg in the 83rd minute of play. After 85th play minutes Daniel Douwes shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Teo Ensing and just under the crossbar into goal. Teo Ensing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Douwes in the 90th minute of play. Daniel Douwes might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teo Ensing. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Douwes ran back to his position shaking his head. Klaas Smit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giel Jorna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the vv Hefswal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
