Robin Van Peel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Douwes took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robin Van Peel. Robin Van Peel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Robin Van Peel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaas Smit in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Stefano van Putten suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Klaas Sybering fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Derks's protests and gave Klaas Sybering a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, Klaas Sybering hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Douwes kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 36th minute of the match Ger Fens sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robin Van Peel skillfully saved the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Daniel Douwes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robin Van Peel. FC Derks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Douwes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Daniel Douwes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Robin Van Peel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Carel Tigelaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Van Peel having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry Aalders during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Derks fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! In the 59th minute, Daniel Douwes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin Van Peel was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The audience was convinced that Daniel Douwes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robin Van Peel was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. If Daniel Douwes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florian Roodenburg struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Robin Van Peel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for vv Hefswal. Daniel Douwes took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robin Van Peel. Robin Van Peel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Daniel Douwes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robin Van Peel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. vv Hefswal's Daniel Douwes got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Douwes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Van Peel having to interfere. Robin Van Peel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Douwes in the 90th minute of the match. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Derks! After 94 minutes of play, vv Hefswal's Ger Fens made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robin Van Peel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Klaas Smit's late challenge caught a FC Derks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaas Smit helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Derks booed when vv Hefswal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaas Smit didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. vv Hefswal had won after a very even match.
