The referee ignored Real Ugchelen United FC's protests and gave Paul Pluym a yellow card for diving instead. Paul Pluym hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Jean-Paul Kruijs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sjaak Geerds, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Paul Kruijs had in the 62ndth minute some difficulties stopping Dries Sloedingen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dries Sloedingen did an outstanding performance 62 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-1 to the right of an irritated Jean-Paul Kruijs in the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Lavalle in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Paul Kruijs saved Real Ugchelen United FC from getting behind. If Dries Sloedingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Lavalle in the 71st minute of play forced Real Ugchelen United FC's goalkeeper Jean-Paul Kruijs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Dries Sloedingen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roestenburg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dries Sloedingen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-Paul Kruijs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Roestenburg FC were the better team. Roestenburg FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
