In the 3rd minute, Herman Weken fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Folker Hillen, passed just outside the right post. After 6 minutes of play, Oldetrine's Ab Klerk made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filip Hellemons was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Bakker in the 11th minute of play forced Olympia 04's goalkeeper Filip Hellemons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abraham Doll kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Herman Wansink managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympia 04's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herman Wansink was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ab Klerk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Oldetrine booed when Olympia 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Wansink didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24th play minutes Ab Klerk shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Filip Hellemons and just under the crossbar into goal. 29 minutes into the game, Denny Koerts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympia 04's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oldetrine the free kick. A collision led to Olympia 04 getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Denny Koerts hit a great ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Enrico Santarelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oldetrine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrico Santarelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Oldetrine's Ruben Ottenhof got a free kick in the 34th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herman Wansink to make the kick off. The supporters of Oldetrine booed when Olympia 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Schirring didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ab Klerks short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Filip Hellemons to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 67 in the game by Ab Klerk from a close distance when the talented Filip Hellemons managed to make a qualified save. Olympia 04's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ab Klerk got free with Filip Hellemons in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oldetrine's Folker Hillen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Schirring in the 71st minute of play. When Freek Huisingh fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympia 04's protests and gave Freek Huisingh a yellow card for diving instead. Freek Huisingh hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The long shot by Jim Bakker in the 79th minute really tested Filip Hellemons's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Oldetrine's Abraham Doll got a free kick in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ab Klerk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Filip Hellemons. That made the score 1-3 in the 87 minute of play. Chants of Oldetrine echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Olympia 04 had held the ball for most of the match.
