Robin Theuws made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koen Claevers in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Remond Bender hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Adriaan Ritsma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spoorakker BV's Robin Theuws played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koen Claevers in the 11th minute of play. Remond Bender struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Wilco Höhenstein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spoorakker BV. Wilco Höhenstein came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Spoorakker BV's Henny Sparnaaij. But to his dismay, Henny Sparnaaij quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Spoorakker BV's Robin Theuws played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koen Claevers in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Elmar Verhoeven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remond Bender could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Wilco Höhenstein made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Adriaan Ritsma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin Theuws was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Koen Claevers scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robin Theuws, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oscar Ronde's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wilco Höhenstein firmly grabbed it by the left post. Adriaan Ritsma kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Koen Claevers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robin Theuws took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koen Claevers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin Theuws made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Adriaan Ritsma sent off a good shot on target. Koen Claevers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Robin Theuws came out and tried to block the shot, but Koen Claevers slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koen Claevers in the 60th minute of play forced Spoorakker BV's goalkeeper Robin Theuws to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Oscar Ronde had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilco Höhenstein. FC Gemelli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Ronde was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After a rather tough play, FC Gemelli's Harald Knuppel got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Adriaan Ritsma made a precise shot to the right of Robin Theuws. Spoorakker BV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Spoorakker BV's Robin Theuws proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Spoorakker BV from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Popping in the 74th minute of play forced Spoorakker BV's goalkeeper Robin Theuws to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Theuws was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Koen Claevers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Koen Claevers really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Koen Claevers kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robin Theuws. That made the score 2-6 in the 79 minute of play. In the 82nd minute Henny Sparnaaij shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilco Höhenstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The goalkeeper, Robin Theuws, was totally fooled by FC Gemelli's Koen Claevers, who 88 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A hard shot 92 in the game by Adriaan Ritsma from a close distance when the talented Robin Theuws managed to make a qualified save. Spoorakker BV's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Billy Popping got free with Robin Theuws in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilco Höhenstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Ronde in the 95th minute of play. Hugo Vroom hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The FC Gemelli supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Gemelli would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
