Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lennart de Visscher started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurice Holsmuller got free with Edgard Gasteren in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dave Vliet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ate Beerthuis having to interfere. Youri Spijkerman's late challenge caught a Ankrum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Youri Spijkerman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Youri Spijkerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 played minutes SC Cliffeinde got a freekick which was hit by Tonnie Vliet. In the 18th minute Lennart de Visscher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Gasteren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henk Kremer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgard Gasteren came out and tried to block the shot, but Henk Kremer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute, one of Ankrum:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ankrum. In the 35th minute, Henk Kremer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dave Vliet in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ate Beerthuis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maurice Holsmuller might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgard Gasteren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maurice Holsmuller ran back to his position shaking his head. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Henk Kremer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Gasteren having to interfere. The supporters of SC Cliffeinde booed when Ankrum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giel Bult didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute of the game Serge van Hintum made a throw-in which Henk Kremer played forward. If Dave Vliet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Remond Ronde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurice Holsmuller kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Ankrum's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Vliet came free, but Ate Beerthuis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Vliet in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ate Beerthuis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 79 minutes, Domenik Terpstra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cliffeinde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenik Terpstra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Ankrum getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Giel Bult hit a great ball. When Youri Spijkerman came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the SC Cliffeinde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Youri Spijkerman couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
