The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 6 minutes, Karsten Fellinger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spoorakker BV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karsten Fellinger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Vedette United getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Marc Douwes hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, Marc Douwes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vedette United's Jan Hendrik Wessels proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Vedette United from getting a goal against them. Karel Keupink recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robin Theuws made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard de Vos in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Karel Keupink managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vedette United's supporters rose to their feet, but Karel Keupink was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Theuws breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Vedette United booed when Spoorakker BV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elmar Verhoeven didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Gerard de Vos made a precise shot to the right of Robin Theuws. Spoorakker BV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Robin Theuws took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gertjan Ostermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Hendrik Wessels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henny Sparnaaij in the 29th minute of the match. If Gertjan Ostermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 34 minutes of play, Vedette United's Gerard de Vos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robin Theuws was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jordy Bartele kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Spoorakker BV's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard de Vos came free, but Robin Theuws reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerard de Vos to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Karsten Fellinger threw the ball into play from the sideline. Vedette United's Jordy Bartele quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 55 minutes into the game, Vedette United's Gerard de Vos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robin Theuws made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. With a little luck, Spoorakker BV's Robin Theuws got control of the ball when Gerard de Vos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan Hendrik Wessels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henny Sparnaaij in the 64th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vedette United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
