Edgard Gasteren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Billy Popping went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, SC Cliffeinde's Kees Otten got a free kick in the 8th minute. Edgard Gasteren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Popping, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Cliffeinde's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Billy Popping scored to the left of an out of position Edgard Gasteren, making the score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koen Claevers in the 21st minute of play forced SC Cliffeinde's goalkeeper Edgard Gasteren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes of play, FC Gemelli's Billy Popping made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Gasteren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Harald Knuppel kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dave Vliet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilco Höhenstein was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Youri Spijkerman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilco Höhenstein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th minute, Adriaan Ritsma made a precise shot to the right of Edgard Gasteren. SC Cliffeinde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dave Vliet to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgard Gasteren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koen Claevers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Arruda charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Arruda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Cliffeinde booed when FC Gemelli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Adriaan Ritsma notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of SC Cliffeinde's Edgard Gasteren. Edgard Gasteren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Billy Popping blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgard Gasteren having to make a save. Billy Popping charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Billy Popping the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, FC Gemelli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Popping to maneuver through the defense. Toni van Putten hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Dave Vliet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilco Höhenstein having to interfere. After some careless play in the SC Cliffeinde defense, Billy Popping kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard Gasteren. The SC Cliffeinde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard Gasteren should have stopped the shot. A throw-in in the 91st minute of the game was made by Gido Harding with José Arruda as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriaan Ritsma in the 95th minute of play forced SC Cliffeinde's goalkeeper Edgard Gasteren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the FC Gemelli players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
