A throw-in in the 6th minute of the game was made by Reinier Baptist with Sven van Putten as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Bergeikers's Piara Batistuta got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Harmole HC's goal looked a bit too open when Piara Batistuta came free, but Gio Ubels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gio Ubels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piara Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Frans Kämpe's late challenge caught a Harmole HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frans Kämpe helped the player get up and apologised. Gio Ubels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piara Batistuta in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Bergeikers got a freekick which was hit by Frans Kämpe. After a rather tough play, Bergeikers's Otto Klasen got a free kick in the 39th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Harmole HC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bergeikers:s goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Piara Batistuta to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Piara Batistuta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gio Ubels. That made the score 0-3 in the 55 minute of play. Harmole HC's Gio Ubels proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Harmole HC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 60 minutes, Piara Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bergeikers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Piara Batistuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Piara Batistuta succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 65th playminute. Otto Klasen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gio Ubels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Harmole HC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Gio Ubels, was totally fooled by Bergeikers's Piara Batistuta, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Harmole HC's Sven van Putten got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bergeikers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
