Michel Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Zeijlemaker in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Seedorf in the 26th minute of play forced Loveren's goalkeeper Hugo van Halst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Loveren's goalkeeper Hugo van Halst, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Zonnetje in huis booed when Loveren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo van Halst was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Robin Oss hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 48th match minute, Loveren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Oss to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Dolf Bosma hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Rudolf Seedorf got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Elias Loyola ran back to his position shaking his head. Rudolf Seedorf blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo van Halst having to make a save. In the 74th minute, Joep van Zalen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudolf Seedorf scored 0-7 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo van Halst, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute, Rudolf Seedorf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Loveren's Roland Pothuizen got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 88th minute, Elias Loyola fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hugo van Halst, passed just outside the right post. In the 96th match minute, Zonnetje in huis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Ramalho to maneuver through the defense.
