In the 3rd match minute, Harmole HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sipke Melker to maneuver through the defense. If Arnout Meijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harmole HC's Reinier Baptist shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Edgard Gasteren but with some difficulty. Sven van Putten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nigel Jansen charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nigel Jansen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Nigel Jansen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giel Fikkers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Edgard Gasteren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Cliffeinde booed when Harmole HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralph Cremers didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert-Jan Schild in the 28th minute of play forced SC Cliffeinde's goalkeeper Edgard Gasteren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SC Cliffeinde getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Domenik Terpstra hit a great ball. In the 37th minute Giel Fikkers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Gasteren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Gasteren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert-Jan Schild in the 39th minute of the match. Robert-Jan Schilds short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Edgard Gasteren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Harmole HC's Giel Fikkers got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dave Vliet was the one to do the kick off. Edgard Gasteren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert-Jan Schild in the 57th minute of play. If Robert-Jan Schild had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert-Jan Schild received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Edgard Gasteren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dave Vliet came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the SC Cliffeinde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Vliet couldn't finish the play. In the 86th match minute, SC Cliffeinde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnout Meijs to maneuver through the defense. 1-0 became the score in the 87th minute when Giel Fikkers elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ralph Cremers got a throw-in 95 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Giel Fikkers.
