Coenraad Maseland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Fokkelman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to New Gooxtonian Boys getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Kees Eising hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the game, Buikstede's Julius Beerthuis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Coenraad Wilmink made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 21st minute, Hans Fokkelman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Sipke van Zeist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hans Fokkelman scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Coenraad Maseland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. New Gooxtonian Boys's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Theo Lamberts 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Maurice Wikenburg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Coenraad Maseland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hans Fokkelman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Hans Fokkelman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Coenraad Maseland was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. If Hans Fokkelman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Fokkelman in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Coenraad Maseland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Maurice Wikenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Theo Lamberts made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Julius Beerthuis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Coenraad Wilmink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 played minutes New Gooxtonian Boys got a freekick which was hit by Damien de Jong. In the 56th minute of the match Buikstede got a corner. New Gooxtonian Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jordi Zwaanswijk ran over to the corner to take the kick. Buikstede's Jordi Zwaanswijk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Coenraad Wilmink in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Maurice Wikenburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coenraad Maseland having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Geale Ponk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buikstede's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Gooxtonian Boys the free kick. After 71 minutes, Hans Borgman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buikstede and the New Gooxtonian Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of New Gooxtonian Boys booed when Buikstede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Borgman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Sipke van Zeist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Gooxtonian Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buikstede the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Wikenburg in the 82nd minute of play forced Buikstede's goalkeeper Coenraad Maseland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geale Ponk was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Coenraad Maseland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurice Wikenburg's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kees Eising during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
