Aktuğ Suer took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Coenraad Maseland. Coenraad Maseland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Frits Degens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute Julius Beerthuis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitrie Buring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Coenraad Maseland was a little too slow when Frits Degens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 18thth minute of the game Frits Degens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buikstede's Coenraad Maseland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Aktuğ Suer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Coenraad Maseland. Buikstede's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aktuğ Suer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After 24 minutes, Frits Degens made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Buikstede's Coenraad Maseland tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Aktuğ Suer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julius Beerthuis's late challenge caught a Vitesse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julius Beerthuis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Julius Beerthuis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Buikstede getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Geale Ponk hit a great ball. Coenraad Maseland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frits Degens in the 32nd minute of the match. Aktuğ Suer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Coenraad Maseland when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aktuğ Suer had several of the Buikstede's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 6-0 score and a disappointed Coenraad Maseland as he didn't even see the shot coming. Taco Koole struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Coenraad Maseland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vitesse. In the 39th match minute, Buikstede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damien Robben to maneuver through the defense. Szczepan Zagrobelny's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Coenraad Maseland firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aktuğ Suer got free with Coenraad Maseland in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Vitesse's Frits Degens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frits Degens was the one to do the kick off. Julius Beerthuis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Coenraad Maseland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aktuğ Suer in the 64th minute of the match. Geale Ponk hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The Vitesse fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Vitesse's Aktuğ Suer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Aktuğ Suer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Szczepan Zagrobelny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Coenraad Maseland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Buikstede defense, Aktuğ Suer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Coenraad Maseland. The Buikstede fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Coenraad Maseland should have stopped the shot. When Vitesse's Aktuğ Suer in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buikstede's goalie prevented a goal. Aktuğ Suer scored 11-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Coenraad Maseland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Lamberts in the 95th minute of play forced Vitesse's goalkeeper Dimitrie Buring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vitesse fully deserved thier win.
