When Oscar Hegeman fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BelaVista FC's protests and gave Oscar Hegeman a yellow card for diving instead. Oscar Hegeman kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as BelaVista FC's Barry Kuypers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kurt Harmsen. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. When Mark Boezem fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 40th match minute, BelaVista FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Boezem to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Jan Willemsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Brunsting booed when BelaVista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Auke Sandbergen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan Willemsen to make the kick off. BelaVista FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
