With a couple of smart ball manuevers Floris Onrust in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gösta Blomkvist saved Oevereind FC from getting behind. Gilbert Dongen took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gösta Blomkvist. Gösta Blomkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Donny Hofland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oevereind FC's Kevin Dolfing got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Gilbert Dongen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gösta Blomkvist. Oevereind FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilbert Dongen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthijs Wagemakers in the 42nd minute of play forced Oevereind FC's goalkeeper Gösta Blomkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donny Hofland to make the kick off. With 56 minutes on the clock, Mark Bernard commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Mark Bernard hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Transwijk FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
