Pierre Breugel took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Theo de Mol. Theo de Mol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Pierre Breugel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Theo de Mol. Pierre Breugel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Pim Stigt kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19thth minute of the game Pierre Breugel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but van Basten's Theo de Mol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pierre Breugel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Theo de Mol firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to van Basten getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Bram Klerk hit a great ball. Mart Griemink scored 3-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theo de Mol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in van Basten's zone, Pierre Breugel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo de Mol came out of the goal and Pierre Breugel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pierre Breugel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Theo de Mol came out and tried to block the shot, but Pierre Breugel slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 32nd minute. Theo de Mol made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Pierre Breugel sent off a good shot on target. FC de Patjakkers's Jan Rein Alferink got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Theo de Mol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Ewald in the 42nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in van Basten's zone, Pierre Breugel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo de Mol came out of the goal and Pierre Breugel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathieu Evans to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Bram Klerk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When FC de Patjakkers's Pierre Breugel in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Joost Veenhuis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theo de Mol was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Rob Ewald had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theo de Mol. van Basten's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rob Ewald was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. van Basten's Theo de Mol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Breugel in the 71st minute of play. Theo de Mol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Breugel in the 75th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Pierre Breugel sped through van Basten's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Theo de Mol. A hard shot 80 in the game by Douwe Schimmel from a close distance when the talented Paul de Boer managed to make a qualified save. FC de Patjakkers's players were relieved. 82 minutes into the match, Joost Veenhuis notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of van Basten's Theo de Mol. Theo de Mol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FC de Patjakkers getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Brain Roelofsen hit a great ball. Theo de Mol came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by FC de Patjakkers's Mart Griemink. But to his dismay, Mart Griemink quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. FC de Patjakkers walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
