The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, FC de Patjakkers's Pierre Breugel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nathan Ottens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 6 played minutes AMOR EROS got a freekick which was hit by Gert Hadders. Pierre Breugel struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Nathan Ottens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC de Patjakkers. After a rather tough play, AMOR EROS's Antoon Bijlsma got a free kick in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the AMOR EROS defense, Rob Ewald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nathan Ottens. The AMOR EROS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nathan Ottens should have stopped the shot. Pierre Breugel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nathan Ottens firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 20 minutes, Joost Veenhuis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC de Patjakkers and the AMOR EROS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joost Veenhuis hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Paul de Boer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Busch in the 21st minute of play. Rob Ewald kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Brain Roelofsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Pierre Breugel came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the FC de Patjakkers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre Breugel couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerrit Tijink during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 minutes, Pierre Breugel made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. AMOR EROS's Nathan Ottens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gerrit Tijink hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The FC de Patjakkers fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when FC de Patjakkers's Pierre Breugel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pierre Breugel made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Rob Ewald left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC de Patjakkers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 57 minutes into the game, Brain Roelofsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Nathan Ottens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of FC de Patjakkers booed when AMOR EROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrit Tijink didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Raymond Hauvers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramon Busch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AMOR EROS's zone, Pierre Breugel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nathan Ottens came out of the goal and Pierre Breugel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raymond Hauvers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Ottens having to interfere. When FC de Patjakkers's Pierre Breugel in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AMOR EROS's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC de Patjakkers had played much better football throughout.
