Spectators: 7981 (Terracing: 5987, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 159) Jim Spiering made the kick off and thus started the match. Theo de Mol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Geleberto in the 3rd minute of the match. Peter Wilson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Buskes, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Frits Derksen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Theo de Mol, 2-0. 19 minutes into the game, Jim Spiering cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Theo de Mol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frits Derksen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Theo de Mol came out and tried to block the shot, but Frits Derksen slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 23rd minute. Jim Spiering who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Theo de Mol when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Theo de Mol was a little too slow when Andres Geleberto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 5-0. In the 32nd match minute, Aviator Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Spiering to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, van Basten's Mark Merenga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mark Merenga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of van Basten protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mark Merenga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Jim Spiering came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Theo de Mol could save by the left post. If Douwe Schimmel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Steve Ploeger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Frits Derksen came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Aviator Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frits Derksen couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Douwe Schimmel made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Aviator Athletic's Andres Geleberto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theo de Mol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Theo de Mol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jim Spiering went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douwe Schimmel during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 played minutes van Basten got a freekick which was hit by Douwe Schimmel. In the 61st minute Andres Geleberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo de Mol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Aviator Athletic's Frits Derksen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theo de Mol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Theo de Mol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frits Derksen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Theo de Mol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Spiering in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Andres Geleberto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Theo de Mol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. van Basten's Theo de Mol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bas Bunt in the 79th minute of play. Theo de Mol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Geleberto in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Geleberto in the 86th minute of play forced van Basten's goalkeeper Theo de Mol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bas Bunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theo de Mol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frits Derksen in the 92nd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, van Basten's goal looked a bit too open when Bas Bunt came free, but Theo de Mol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aviator Athletic's Bas Bunt got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aviator Athletic walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
