After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ben de Ruijter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zorky F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ben de Ruijter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edward Nijsse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Gapinge SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ben de Ruijter came free, but Edward Nijsse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Hub Huizinga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edward Nijsse was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 27th minute, Rinus Duinhoven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Gapinge SC booed when Zorky F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben de Ruijter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Ed Rinzema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hub Huizinga in the 34th minute of play forced Gapinge SC's goalkeeper Edward Nijsse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Co Kuys kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Gapinge SC's Edward Nijsse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben de Ruijter in the 37th minute of play. In the 44th minute Ben de Ruijter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Nijsse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregor Huisman's late challenge caught a Zorky F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregor Huisman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th match minute, Gapinge SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregor Huisman to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hub Huizinga was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes, Rinus Duinhoven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zorky F.C. and the Gapinge SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Zorky F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rinus Duinhoven. Zorky F.C.'s Otto Tulner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Deijnen in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Ben de Ruijter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Edward Nijsse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Zorky F.C. getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Rinus Duinhoven hit a great ball. Edward Nijsse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hub Huizinga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ben de Ruijter scored 1-5 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edward Nijsse, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Zorky F.C.'s Ben de Ruijter dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. In the 81st minute, Zorky F.C.'s Rinus Duinhoven ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edward Nijsse. Edward Nijsse yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. Otto Tulner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Co Kuys in the 85th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Gapinge SC's goalkeeper Edward Nijsse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ben de Ruijter. With a little luck, Gapinge SC's Edward Nijsse got control of the ball when Ben de Ruijter tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hub Huizinga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Nijsse having to interfere. Hub Huizinga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gapinge SC's Edward Nijsse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Gapinge SC from getting a goal against them. Zorky F.C. played a much better game than Gapinge SC and deserved their victory. The Gapinge SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
