Spectators: 7987 (Terracing: 5991, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) Klaas Jan Berends showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maarten Zijlstra in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Maarten Zijlstra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gorpeind's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blerick the free kick. After 10 minutes of play, Blerick's Mark Boven made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erik Iepstra was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute, one of Blerick:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Blerick. In the 19th minute, Gorpeind's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Coenraad Zandee fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gorpeind's Erik Iepstra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Boven in the 28th minute of play. Gorpeind's Maarten Zijlstra got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heiko Klaasens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Klaas Jan Berends tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Heiko Klaasens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Coenraad Zandee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maarten Zijlstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaas Jan Berends having to interfere. Matthijs Breinburg hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Tonnie de Graaf kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Coenraad Zandee had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erik Iepstra. Gorpeind's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Coenraad Zandee was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Henry Helwig kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Maarten Zijlstra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tonnie de Graaf kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Geert Ronde, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jean-Paul Lans hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Blerick's zone, Heiko Klaasens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klaas Jan Berends came out of the goal and Heiko Klaasens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th match minute, Gorpeind was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonnie de Graaf to maneuver through the defense. Coenraad Zandee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Blerick fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gorpeind had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
