If Folkert Beishuizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Blerick booed when KING was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Middel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ryan Kuypers managed to get in a good position for a shot. KING's supporters rose to their feet, but Ryan Kuypers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaas Jan Berends breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to KING getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Sjef Rinzema hit a great ball. If Folkert Beishuizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Blerick defense, Folkert Beishuizen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Klaas Jan Berends. The Blerick fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Klaas Jan Berends should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Blerick's Klaas Jan Berends got control of the ball when Folkert Beishuizen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Folkert Beishuizen struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Klaas Jan Berends didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KING. In the 31st minute, Folkert Beishuizen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Klaas Jan Berends was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Mark Boven took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucien Kiewit. Lucien Kiewit dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Klaas Jan Berends showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Kuypers, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Folkert Beishuizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Folkert Beishuizen made the kick off in the second half. Blerick's Klaas Jan Berends played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folkert Beishuizen in the 51st minute of play. If Folkert Beishuizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryan Kuypers might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Klaas Jan Berends. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryan Kuypers ran back to his position shaking his head. Ryan Kuypers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Blerick's Jeffrey Davids got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Blerick's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Oortwijn came free, but Klaas Jan Berends reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, KING's Lucien Kiewit got control of the ball when Coenraad Zandee tried to sneak it across the goal line. Folkert Beishuizen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Despite being the better team, KING failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
