Henk Kikkert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th minute Billy Das shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Floris Valentijn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Floris Valentijn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henk Kikkert, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Floris Valentijn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Das in the 10th minute of play. Floris Valentijn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roderick Eringa in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Gentle Ds booed when VV Zonnedael was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roderick Eringa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Floris Valentijn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk Kikkert in the 16th minute of the match. Floris Valentijn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roderick Eringa went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to VV Zonnedael getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Billy Das hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, VV Zonnedael's Roderick Eringa got a free kick in the 27th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Dries Zevenhuizen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gentle Ds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dries Zevenhuizen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roderick Eringa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Floris Valentijn having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Henk Kikkert managed to get in a good position for a shot. VV Zonnedael's supporters rose to their feet, but Henk Kikkert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Floris Valentijn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the game, Billy Das cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Floris Valentijn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 43 minutes of play, VV Zonnedael's Billy Das made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Floris Valentijn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Floris Valentijn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Das in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henk Kikkert to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Henk Kikkert got a very nice opportunity to score, but Floris Valentijn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Gentle Ds's Floris Valentijn got control of the ball when Henk Kikkert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Billy Das could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Floris Valentijn made a huge save. In the 55th minute, Roderick Eringa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Floris Valentijn. The goal made the score 0-4. Roderick Eringa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Floris Valentijn having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henk Kikkert in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Floris Valentijn saved Gentle Ds from getting behind. In the 62nd minute, Richard Tuhuteru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Gentle Ds's goalkeeper Floris Valentijn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henk Kikkert. 74 minutes into the match, Gentle Ds's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Das came free, but Floris Valentijn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henk Kikkert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Floris Valentijn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pieter Zonneveld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Floris Valentijn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Das in the 83rd minute of play. Gentle Ds's Floris Valentijn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Gentle Ds from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Henk Kikkert made a precise shot to the right of Floris Valentijn. Gentle Ds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Floris Valentijn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roderick Eringa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Billy Das recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Billy Das left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VV Zonnedael fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. VV Zonnedael's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
