The supporters of Gentle Ds booed when Hell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Floris Jonge didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hell's zone, Wouter de Zwaan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Lamey came out of the goal and Wouter de Zwaan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harold Tevreden hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A collision led to Hell getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Melvin Walstra hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klaas Haar to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Hell getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kees Matthijs helped the player get up and apologised. Klaas Haar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Floris Valentijn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gentle Ds were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Hell to leave the ground with a draw.
