After 3 played minutes Royal Maas Yacht Club got a freekick which was hit by Theo Kruijs. After 6 played minutes Gios tou Telamon got a freekick which was hit by Mark Overmars. Gios tou Telamon's Efrain Fernanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Kruijs in the 7th minute of play. Wim Otten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erben Saarberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Wim Otten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cees Boer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Efrain Fernanco came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Royal Maas Yacht Club's Elroy Oorschot. But to his dismay, Elroy Oorschot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 20 played minutes Royal Maas Yacht Club got a freekick which was hit by Geert Melis. In the 24th minute Elroy Oorschot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efrain Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Otten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriaan van den Berg in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Royal Maas Yacht Club's Wim Otten got control of the ball when Bem Bem tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gooitzen Peters charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gooitzen Peters the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Royal Maas Yacht Club got a freekick which was hit by Gooitzen Peters. Bem Bem succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Cees Boer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gios tou Telamon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 47 minutes into the game, Erben Saarberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wim Otten. Erben Saarberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Elroy Oorschot made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Cees Boer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wim Otten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Otten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cees Boer went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute Bem Bem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wim Otten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Overmars in the 68th minute of play forced Royal Maas Yacht Club's goalkeeper Wim Otten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Otten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Gios tou Telamon's Efrain Fernanco got control of the ball when Theo Kruijs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Antuña was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 83 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gios tou Telamon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! The supporters of Royal Maas Yacht Club booed when Gios tou Telamon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erben Saarberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cees Boer kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elroy Oorschot in the 98th minute of play forced Gios tou Telamon's goalkeeper Efrain Fernanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
