Spectators: 7313 (Terracing: 6013, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 100) VV Zonnedael's Henk Kikkert started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tommie Reinders scored 1-0 in the 2nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emiel Huiting, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Franck de Haan kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Emiel Huiting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arvid Melin in the 6th minute of the match. After 6 played minutes VV Zonnedael got a freekick which was hit by Billy Das. In the 9th minute, Tommie Reinders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When VV Zonnedael's Henk Kikkert in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hogeweg FC's goalie prevented a goal. With an all-out effort, Hogeweg FC's Emiel Huiting threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leon Vliet, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Taco Kamps could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Emiel Huiting made a huge save. Hogeweg FC's Lukas Sundén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henk Kikkert in the 18th minute of play. Henk Kikkert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lukas Sundén read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind VV Zonnedael's goalkeeper Emiel Huiting, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Henk Kikkert sped through Hogeweg FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lukas Sundén. A collision led to Hogeweg FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Taco Oosterbaan hit a great ball. If Leon Vliet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

51 minutes into the match, Billy Das had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lukas Sundén. Hogeweg FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Billy Das was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 55 minutes, Arie van Rhijn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hogeweg FC and the VV Zonnedael players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hogeweg FC's Arie van Rhijn got a free kick in the 55th minute. Taco Kamps might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emiel Huiting. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Taco Kamps ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the match, Leon Vliet notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of VV Zonnedael's Emiel Huiting. Emiel Huiting was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 61 minutes into the match, VV Zonnedael's goal looked a bit too open when Taco Kamps came free, but Emiel Huiting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiel Huiting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Vliet in the 63rd minute of the match. Taco Kamps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Emiel Huiting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emiel Huiting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Vliet in the 66th minute of play. Henk Kikkert took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lukas Sundén. Lukas Sundén dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Billy Das was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Taco Kamps in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiel Huiting prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frans Dijkstra during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Henk Kikkert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukas Sundén having to interfere. VV Zonnedael's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
