In the 11th minute Mark Overmars shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiel Huiting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pieter Zonneveld kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Billy Das managed to get in a good position for a shot. VV Zonnedael's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Das was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efrain Fernanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Efrain Fernanco made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Henk Kikkert sent off a good shot on target. If Billy Das had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cees Boer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Emiel Huiting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emiel Huiting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bem Bem, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute Cees Boer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiel Huiting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, VV Zonnedael's goal looked a bit too open when Cees Boer came free, but Emiel Huiting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gios tou Telamon's goalkeeper Efrain Fernanco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of VV Zonnedael booed when Gios tou Telamon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Antuña didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henk Kikkert got free with Efrain Fernanco in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan-Willem van Hintum's late challenge caught a Gios tou Telamon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan-Willem van Hintum helped the player get up and apologised.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henk Kikkert to make the kick off. Henk Kikkert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Efrain Fernanco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. VV Zonnedael's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Mark Overmars scored to the left of an out of position Emiel Huiting, making the score, 0-1. The supporters of VV Zonnedael booed when Gios tou Telamon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Greef didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes Gios tou Telamon got a freekick which was hit by Bem Bem. Bem Bem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Emiel Huiting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Cees Boer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 89 minutes into the match, Humberto Greef had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiel Huiting. VV Zonnedael's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Greef was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Emiel Huiting successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gios tou Telamon played a much better game than VV Zonnedael and deserved their victory. The VV Zonnedael players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
