Spectators: 8016 (Terracing: 6014, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cees Boer started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Cees Boer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Floris Valentijn was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Gios tou Telamon getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Cees Boer hit a great ball. Kees Matthijs hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Mark Overmars left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gios tou Telamon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Cees Boer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gentle Ds's Floris Valentijn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cees Boer in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cees Boer in the 33rd minute of play forced Gentle Ds's goalkeeper Floris Valentijn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes of play, Gios tou Telamon's Cees Boer made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Floris Valentijn was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Gentle Ds's zone, Cees Boer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Floris Valentijn came out of the goal and Cees Boer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Mark Overmars managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gios tou Telamon's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Overmars was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Floris Valentijn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Floris Valentijn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cees Boer in the 44th minute of play. Bem Bem scored 0-4 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Floris Valentijn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wouter de Zwaan made a kick off. Floris Valentijn was a little too slow when Mark Overmars got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-5. 60 minutes into the match, Erben Saarberg notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Gentle Ds's Floris Valentijn. Floris Valentijn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the game, Gios tou Telamon's Mark Overmars nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Floris Valentijn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Floris Valentijn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cees Boer in the 68th minute of play. Floris Valentijn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erben Saarberg in the 75th minute of the match. Mark Overmars succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 76th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Gentle Ds's zone, Mark Overmars stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Floris Valentijn came out of the goal and Mark Overmars tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Floris Valentijn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erben Saarberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 88 minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Bem Bem made a precise shot to the right of Floris Valentijn. Gentle Ds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. Kees Matthijs charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kees Matthijs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes Gentle Ds got a freekick which was hit by Kees Matthijs. Gios tou Telamon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
